Facts About Tampa Bay FL

As of 2008, Tampa Bay FL was the eighth cleanest city in the United States, it is also 54th biggest state in the US and became the 27th date in 1845. A hub of that activity because of its proximity to the water, the history of Tampa Bay FLorida goes back into the 1700\'s.

  

Today, Tampa\'s climate is warm and sunny with very little threat of a winter freeze, and is at the northernmost limit for coconut palm and royal palm growth and is also known as the \"Lightning Capital of North America\" with an average of over 10 deaths and 30 different injuries due to lightning.

Tourism and recreation are two of the biggest parts of Tampa Bay FLorida with over 165 parks and 2286 acres of beaches all within the city limits. You\'ll also find a variety of attractions, theme parks, and water parks including the Busch gardens Africa, Adventure Island, FLorida aquarium, and of course sports also play a big part of Tampa Bay\'s activity list.

You\'ll find the NFL is represented as well is the MLB and NHL, and arena football. You\'ll find the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tampa Bay Lightning, Tampa Bay Rays and the Tampa Bay Storm for Arena Football as well as many different teams that travel for spring training for Major league baseball and even minor league baseball.

Tampa Bay is a part of the Tampa Bay Area Metropolitan Center with over 3 million residents and over 380,000 in the actual city itself. Tampa Bay residents get around by a solid infrastructure including major highways and interstates, Tampa international airport, the Peter O. Knight airport, Tampa Executive airport, and the St. Petersburg Clearwater international airport and is also served by the Tampa Union train station including Amtrak, and the Silver Star. You\'ll also find mass transit in the area offered through HART which is the Hillsborough Area Regional Transit Authority, as well as the TECO Streetcar System.

There\'s a wide assortment of activities that you can enjoy while visiting Tampa Bay FL. Including wonderful beaches and all of the water activities including fishing, water sports, cruises, and of course sun tanning. There are also many different types of activities in the city itself including an IMAX theater, The Museum of Science and Industry, Tampa Museum of Art, the Salvador Dali Museum and many more.

Visiting Tampa Bay FL with all of its architecture, entertainment areas, beaches and gardens is something everyone should do at least once in their life. There are many activities that are geared to the tourist as well as the residents alike.
